Description
Gaia Green Glacial Rock Dust is sourced from mineral deposits left by moving glaciers during the last ice age. This natural fertilizer contains essential plant nutrients that support strong plant growth and can be used on all plants in home gardens, landscapes, lawn, and turf. Glacial Rock Dust can also be added to compost piles to help optimize nutrient conditions for root growth and overall plant development.
What is Glacial Rock Dust?
Glacial Rock Dust (GRD) is rock dust that results from weathering of rocks that occurred during glaciation. Then when the glaciers retreat, they left behind a glacial moraines. These glacial moraines are then mined, and the product is sold as GRD. GRD doesn't contain quite as many rare earths as Azomite®, however, it has much lower aluminum, lead and arsenic levels. If you're growing cannabis for smoking, GRD may be better than hydroponic methods because it reduces the accumulation of heavy metals in the plant. Magnesium levels in GRD are ideal for recycling soils, and contribute a slow but balanced supply of magnesium.
